We all know that suicide is a very serious subject. There are many people who make the decision not to live because they do not want to face what lies ahead of them. They feel as though they cannot go on. And, we all know that this is a decision that someone has to make on his own and it is something that is very difficult and painful.

Then, there are those people who commit suicide because they feel as though they no longer have the ability to handle what lies ahead of them. They feel as though their life is no longer enjoyable or bearable. In these cases, it is commonly believed that they have lost their reason for living.

However, as the quote above states, some people choose to take their own life first under certain circumstances. In fact, some practitioners of martial arts have been taught from an early age how to kill themselves first or cause themselves harm in order to give themselves a better chance at survival. There was a time when a person’s death would be considered a disgrace.

And, while there are still those who will say death is honorable and laud the choice of taking one’s own life first, it is now more common for someone faced with insurmountable circumstances to choose death over trying to endure them one more day.
